Big Weekend for Fremantle Surf Sports

Fremantle competitors were busy last weekend representing the club across different surf sport disciplines. From Nippers to Open athletes, our members were battling it out at Sorrento Beach in the Youth and Open Surf League, the WA Surf Boat Short Course Championship, and the U10–U13 Nipper Carnival 1.

On Saturday, our youth/open athletes competed against some of the best beach and ocean talent in WA, showcasing their skills and determination. At the same time, our boaties had a terrific day on the water—securing gold and silver in the Open Male division, double silver for our two Open Female crews, and gold medals for both our Under 19 girls and boys teams.

On Sunday, we took over Sorrento Beach with 58 Nippers competing and having fun at the first carnival of the season—closing out 2025 on a high.

This week, it’s the Little Nippers’ turn as they head to Cottesloe for Little Nipper Carnival 1. We wish them all the very best and hope they have a fantastic day this Sunday.

We are thrilled to see so many blue and yellow caps across all the carnivals!
