Message from the Board

We are so excited and proud! We have nominated and been named as Finalists in 6 categories in the Surf Life Saving WA Awards for the 23/24 Season. Huge congratulations to all who were nominated and whatever the results on 15 June 2024, we could not be prouder of our amazing club and everyone who goes above and beyond.

Our nominees included:

Amrit Jessy- Volunteer of the Year

Courtney Sutherland- Coach of the Year

Felicity Hawkins – AGM of the Year

Luke De Laeter – Young Life Saver of the Year

Richard Dreverman – Nipper Volunteer of the Year

These nominees are exceptional members of our club who have helped us be such a dynamic and positive community service. Thanks to each of you.

Massive congratulations to our individual finalists: James Currey, Pedro Smith and Hudson Whiting.

We are a MEMBERS club and our facilities are gold class. As with all not for profits that are volunteer run, we are extremely mindful of responsible management. Although friends and supporters are encouraged to attend our events, please respectfully discourage non-members accessing our facilities such as equipment, hot showers and gym. Please encourage friends to join up instead! We are a very welcoming community and our membership prices are all extremely reasonable. Our members’ contributions help to ensure we provide exceptional facilities for all our members. We have monthly payment options and members may cancel membership at any time.

We continue our implementation of the 23-25 Strategic Plan with a key focus to build a strong and sustainable club. The next phase is to appoint a General Manager: a professional, motivated, collaborative leader who exemplifies our RISE values. This role will be responsible for leading our strategic initiatives and managing administrative operations. This new position will be advertised this week and we welcome all applicants who are interested in joining our amazing Club. Keep an eye out for the advertisement on our socials and please share the opportunity with friends.

We are looking forward to our Annual Dinner this weekend and if you missed that chance for a social catch up, make sure you save the date for our AGM on Friday, 21 June.

See you on the beach!
