Message from the President

I am honoured to be the new president of Fremantle Surf Club which has a long and proud history. It is a full circle moment in some ways from starting as a nipper at Club in 2000 to this role today. I have been involved in most areas of the Club and through involvement in various Club and State committees I hope this will hold me in good stead.

I thank Jette for all her work on the Board driving many initiatives, and I am sure she will still be making an impact moving forward in other roles.

I also want to say a massive thank you to our long time Club Administrator Jo Jameson who has finished up in the office. Jo has been a staple of the Club for many years, building wonderful relationships with all members, and has volunteered countless hours of unpaid time to help the Club. Whilst Jo will no longer be with us in a paid role, you are guaranteed to see her around the Club as a volunteering member.

We have incredible people throughout the Club, and the Board will work hard to ensure that this potential is maximised through optimal structures. The Club’s management will aim to ensure we excel across our core pillars (Nippers & Youth, Training & Education, Surf Sports, & Lifesaving), as well as cement some really strong foundations for our future growth, all whilst ensuring that the feedback of members is central.

The club is strongest when everyone gets involved and contributes however they can with their limited time. There are a number of vacant roles that we are seeking expressions of interests for via the below link. There is also a free text box to let us know any areas of interest you may have or to let us know what outside skills you could contribute.

Stay tuned to the newsletter for information over the next few months on items like registrations and key season dates.

Thanks again for your support and see you on the beach soon.
