SLSA Inclusion Survey

Hi all,

Participation in sport and physical activity across all levels has a great impact on personal and community health and wellbeing. The benefits of participating in Surf Life Saving Sport takes it to the next level where our participants are learning and developing personal water safety skills and refining skills and fitness which work towards saving lives.

Surf Life Saving Australia is motivated to learn and understand more about sport engagement for our members with disability and how we can create more opportunities within sport. In order to gain a greater understanding, it is important to ask the right questions to the right people. As such, we have created a series of surveys targeting, parents/guardians, clubs and states and the people within those groups who have a child involved in a current program (or wish to), currently deliver an inclusive program/event and states who currently deliver inclusive sport programs/events.

Parent Survey:

Please distribute this to parents of children at your club who participate in inclusion programs (i.e. Starfish Nippers).

Club Survey:

Please invite members at your club who are involved in inclusion programs (coordinators, AGM roles, etc.) to complete this.

Both surveys will close on the 1st July, 2022. Thank you for your help with this, hopefully WA will have a strong voice!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Kind Regards,

Rachel Forsyth – Member Development Officer
