Surf Rescue Certificate course for Adults (Nipper Parents)
Parents are invited to attend a Surf Rescue Certificate course for adults. As long as you can achieve the swim outlined in the pre-qualification below, you will find this a rewarding involvement.
Dates:
6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, 5 November, 12 November and 19 November 2024
7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Sunday 10 November, 17 November and 24 November 2024
Pre-qualification: ability to complete a 200m swim in under 5 minutes. It is essential that you have done some swimming beforehand.
Course content:
- Dry sessions: Basic first aid including resuscitation, radio use and familiarisation with patrols
- Wet sessions: Surf skills, board, tube and unaided rescues, signals and resuscitation
- On-line content .
It is essential you attend all six sessions and complete the online content to qualify.
