VALE ROSS GREEN

The Club was saddened to learn of the recent passing of Ross Green.  
 

Ross was a club member in the 1960s and 70s, as were his parents Ron and Grace and his brother Ian.  

Ross was an excellent beach sprinter in his younger years, winning the Cadet (U15) Beach Sprint Championship of WA in 1972.  He was part of the Australian Championships Touring Team that went to Glenelg, South Australia in 1974 and featured in the 1975 WA Junior (U18) Beach Sprint Championship, coming a narrow second to David Heatley.

 Ross’s parents Ron and Grace were heavily involved in organising social activities for the Club, while Ian was himself a handy beach sprinter and later part of the senior R&R team.  Sadly, all have now passed.

The club was honoured to host Ross’s wake today.
